Joanne Ruth Storace, age 72, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA, but recently of Tewksbury, MA, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was born to parents, Celia and Joseph Marino, on December 27, 1946, in Cambridge, MA.
She graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. After high school Joanne worked as an Insurance Agent for nearly thirty years. During her time as an Insurance Agent, Joanne took time off to raise and care for her two sons.
Joanne married William (Bill) Storace Sr. on August 2, 1970 in Medford, MA. They loved going to plays, reading books together by the lake, watching their kids sporting events, going out to eat, and traveling around New England. Together they lovingly raised two wonderful sons.
Joanne also enjoyed decorating for the holidays, working on puzzles, arts and crafts, and gardening. She donated her time by volunteering at her children's elementary school library, and teaching CCD at St. Mary Church. She was also a devoted hockey mom, baseball mom, collector of Byers and Annalee dolls, and a lover of all chocolate.
In addition to her beloved husband Bill, Joanne is survived by her sons; William Storace Jr. and his wife Amanda of New Boston, NH, Matthew Storace and his wife Saeeda of Nashua, NH. She was the loving grandmother of Maya and Paige and is further survived by many loving nephews and nieces. Along with her late parents, Joanne is sadly predeceased by her sister, Sarah McDonnell.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Friday, March1st, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
