Obituary

NORTH OXFORD___Katherine (Dreksler) Kasprzak, 80, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 28, in UMass Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Her husband, Walter J. Kasprzak died in 1976.
She leaves a daughter, Theresa O’Donoghue and her husband Neil with whom she lived; a brother, Frank Dreksler of Creston, British Columbia; a sister, Aniela Hayek of BeitChebab, Beirut, Lebanon; two granddaughters, Deborah O’Donoghue and Jennifer Kelly and her husband Daniel of Quincy; a great grandson, Nolan Kelly of Quincy. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Brugos in 1984. She was born in Poland, daughter of Jozef and Tekla (Wolanyk) Dreksler, and later lived many years in Worcester before moving to North Oxford in 1977.
Mrs. Kasprzak was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. She enjoyed being with her family and had special joy in her great grandson. She was a lover of all God’s creatures great and small.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 30, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 29, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
