Nancy Moran, 80, went to heaven on Feb 23, 2019. Nancy was a resident of Hooksett, NH. Nancy was born and grew up in Lowell, MA where she graduated from Lowell High School. She had been employed for 31 years as a psychiatric social worker at Solomon Mental Health as Nancy Blight, retiring in 1997. Nancy loved her cats, Toto, plus she enjoyed reading, traveling to California, and exercising at Curves.
She is survived by her loving family; her brother and sister-in-law: Patrick and Leah Moran; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Moran-Panessiti and Ed Panessiti; her brother Leo Moran, Jr.; her sister-in-law: Lorraine Moran, her daughters: Cindy, Tammy, Laurie, Dottie, and her son-in-laws, Curt Greene, Frank Barnum and Chuck Vedder, and her daughter’s spouse Vivian Harrison. She has two grandchildren: Tara and Kerry Blight; as well as nieces and nephews. Nancy is preceded in death by her mom: Maude Moran; her dad: Leo Moran, Sr. and her brothers Peter and Terry Moran.
Nancy was a humble but strong personality who strictly raised her four daughters to be strong, self-supporting women who loved her to the very end. She will be greatly missed.
A calling hour was held on Thursday, February 28th from 2 - 3:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 3:30pm in the funeral home. Cremation followed.
