Simonne R. (Roberts) Bienvenue, age 76, passed away on Feb. 24, 2019 at Heritage Hall East Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 1, 1942 in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Paul and Ida (Roulier) Roberts. She worked for Mount Marie as a baker, for the Registry of Motor Vehicles and as a clerk for the Chicopee School Department for many years before she retired. She loved to bake, sew, crochet and volunteered her time with 4-H. She was also a novitiate of Sisters of St. Ann before she met and married her best friend and love of her life Richard on Aug. 2, 1969. Simonne was a communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish. Her Love, warmth and beautiful smile will be missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard F. Bienvenue of Chicopee; 3 daughters, Jeanne Tippett and her husband Paul of Chicopee, Nicole Wojcik and her husband Jeff of Chicopee and Denise Gliniak and her husband Alan of Easthampton; 3 sisters Jeannette Jacques and her husband Normand of Springfield, Rita Trumble and her significant other Ron Jackman of Agawam and Paula Caron and her husband Paul of East Longmeadow along with 4 beloved grandchildren, Caitlynn Tippett, Morgan and Meghan Wojcikand Madison Gliniak. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 from 4 -7 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 9 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice or to St Rose de Lima Parish, 600 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020.
