Robert W. Peacor, 90, of Westport, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Somerset Ridge Center. He was the husband of Doris M. (Boucher) Peacor.
Mr. Peacor was born in Boston, son of the late Carroll O. and Leona R. (Dix) Peacor and had resided in Westport since 2014. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an engineer for Kodak in Rochester, NY. He had lived in Cape Cod where he enjoyed the beach and playing cards. He was a world traveler, an avid golfer and an active trader in the stock market. Mr. Peacor was a member of Amicable Congregational Church, Tiverton. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors along with his wife include his 4 daughters: Sandra of NY, Wendy of MA, Nancy of MA and Judy of MA; 3 step-children: David Aguiar, Steven Aguiar and Judith Gulla; a brother: Donald Peacor of MI; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; along with 6 step-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Norman Peacor.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, March 1, 2019 at Amicable Congregational Church, 3736 Main Rd., Tiverton, RI 02878 at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday at the Potter Funeral Home from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
