James "Mike" Hilton, 62, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Steve Tucker officiating. Mr. Hilton will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jermaine Mcentyre, Jamie Bell, Darius Lately, Jason Goff, Rocky Hilton, Eric Brooks, Ashley Ball and Issac Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 24, 1956 in Marietta, Mr. Hilton was the son of the late James Edward Hilton and Leona Patricia "Patty" Sutton Hilton. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Davie Hilton. Before retiring, he was a self-employed mechanic. He loved drag racing and sunny weather and, above all, he loved his family. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mr. Hilton is survived by his wife, Brenda Hilton of Tifton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Michelle Hilton and Greg and Haley May Hilton, all of Tifton and Jody and Kim Hilton of Funston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Pete Mathis of Tifton and Nancy and Mike Smith of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and seven grandchildren, Hunter Hilton, Reese Hilton, Niki and Ty Turner, Joseph Hilton and Hannah Watts, Ella Hilton, Maemarie Hilton and Brady Hilton.
