EAST BRIDGEWATER - Paul A. Wolfe, 63, of East Bridgewater died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at Mass General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Amber F. (Huntoon) Wolfe.
Born in Weymouth, a son of Philip Wolfe Sr. of Whitman and the late Evelyn (Lindbohm) Wolfe, he graduated from Weymouth Voc. High School, Class of 1960, and was class vice president.
He was the owner of Paul Wolfe Motor Sales in East Bridgewater, in business from 1964 to present.
Mr. Wolfe was also a former business partner for AAA Island Auto Rentals in Martha’s Vineyard.
He was a charter member of the Lions Club of East Bridgewater, was also past President of Lions Club of East Bridgewater and was the first charter past president to receive life membership from Lions International in 1998. He also received the Melvin Jones Award.
Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Board of Directors for South Shore Co-op. Bank in East Bridgewater and a former member of East Bridgewater Charter Study Committee, former member of East Bridgewater Commerical Club.
He enjoyed boating, working on cars, wintering at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Paul A. Wolfe Jr., John Wolfe and his wife Dawn, Susan Wolfe and James Wolfe and his wife Diane, all of East Bridgewater; his brother and sister, Philip Wolfe Jr. of Meredith, N.H., and Janice Murphy of Brockton; his grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsey, Joel, Emily, Tyler and Mackenzie; several aunts, nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be in St. John Church, 210 Central St., East Bridgewater, Wednesday at 10 am. Visiting hours in The Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, Tuesday from 2-8 pm. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
