Roberta Leigh Rishty, 69, of Tifton passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. Ms. Rishty will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born February 16, 1949 in Miami, Florida, Ms. Rishty was the daughter of the late Joe Rishty and Marjorie Reid Weitman. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, R. A. Weitman; one brother, Bryce Weitman; and her life-long friend and mother-figure, Alma Hause. She retired from Sodexo and returned to Tifton from Atlanta in 2014. She was a member of Harding United Methodist Church and loved her church and her church family.
Ms. Rishty is survived by her sons and their spouses, Walter and Teila Driggers of Metter and Scott and Gabe Goodman of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Renee Rishty of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Bob Lee of Baxley and Cecelia and Kevin Levesque of Ludowici; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Tift Area, the Harding United Methodist Church Family, Jenny Lindsey, Patrick and Marianne Kunes and so many others for all the calls, visits and prayers.
