Sybil Kelley Hill, 92, of Sycamore passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Tift Regional Hospital.
Sybil was born on March 11, 1926 in Turner County to the late Thomas Jefferson and Clemmie J. Bowen Kelley. She was a former member of the Sycamore Garden Club and a graduate of Massey Business College. She was also a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Sybil was a homemaker and a retired secretary. She was a Christian woman who shared the love of Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School at Bethel Baptist Church as a teenager and later at Sycamore Baptist Church and Rebecca Baptist Church after marriage. Everywhere she went she shared the message of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Harolene H. (Jay) Shingler of Sycamore; grandchildren, Bill (Kristie) Hill of Perry and John (Georgia) Hill of McDonough; great-granchildren, Chandler Hill of Statesboro, Colby Hill of Perry, Chloe Hill of Perry, Jake Hill of McDonough and Luke Hill McDonough.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Hill and a son, William T. Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Penia Baptist Church in Crisp County with entombment at 3:30 PM in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. The family will greet friends Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
