Mary Ellen McCook, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 11AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will be private.
Miss McCook was born December 9, 1956, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Mary Francis Rinear McCook and the late Grover Cleveland McCook. She lived in the community all of her life and work in food service. She worked for Harvey’s and Tom’s Buffett for 20 years. Miss McCook was an animal lover. She attended the Fitzgerald Church of God.
Along with her mother, she is survived by Robert Eugene Cox of Fitzgerald; son, Robert Eugene Cox, II & Kara of Fitzgerald; siblings: Christy & Gary King of St. Augustine, Florida, Elaine Walls of Fitzgerald, Jackie Corbin & Jacky of St. Augustine, Florida and Jill Kinson of St. Cloud, Florida. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Roberts.
