Alfred A. Gagne, 93, of Vernon, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Barn Hill Care Center. He was the husband of the late Dolores (Ross) Gagne.
Mr. Gagne was born in Westport, son of the late Alexis and Rosanna (Cote) Gagne and was a longtime resident of the town before moving to New Jersey. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement, he owned/operated an appliance repair shop.
Survivors include his son: Ross D. Gagne and his wife Lillie of Vernon, NJ; 2 sisters: Blanche Sampson of Fall River and Annette Ferland of Windsor Locks, CT; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Albert, Leo, Roland and Raymond Gagne and Delia Thomas.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Friday, at the funeral home, from 9:30-11 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
