Maureen O’Brien, 59, of Natick, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan 29, 2019.
Maureen (Auntie Moe) was born and raised in Natick. She was the loving daughter of Mary (Leahy) O’Brien and William J. O’Brien (who passed away in 2001). Moe was a graduate of Marion High School and Lasalle Jr College.
Moe will be missed in so many ways. Maureen was a wonderful daughter who was the primary caretaker for her parents for over 25 years. She was a great sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin, co-worker, leader, St. Patrick’s parish organizer, physical therapist and friend.
Maureen is survived by her mother Mary, her brother, Bill O’Brien of Bennington, VT , her sister and husband Kathy and Kelly Shea of Rochester, NY, her brother and wife Jim and Colleen O’Brien of Spokane, WA, and her brother and wife Michael and Mai O’Brien of Natick, MA.
Maureen also has five nieces and nephews, Chris Shea and wife Stacy of Rochester, NY, Meghan Gillespie and husband Mason of Stoneham, MA, Sarah Everitt and husband Pat of Spokane, WA, Katie Gozart and husband Ben of Seattle, WA, Corrina Kelsey and husband Mike of Spokane, WA, Tim O’Brien of Boston, MA, Erin O’Brien of Cincinnati, OH, and Mike O’Brien of Boston, MA.
Moe’s passion was her family, friends, and her faith. She enjoyed planning family reunions, organizing church events, beautiful sunsets, and spending time with her many friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Feb 8 from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home in Natick.
A celebration of Moe’s life will be on Saturday, Feb 9 at 11:00am at St. Patrick’s Church in Natick. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.
In lieu of flowers, Moe asked that memorial contributions be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
