Roberta L. Brown, of Medford, passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family, January 28th, after a lengthy illness. She was 88. Born in Dorchester and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Marion Previte.
Roberta was employed for the City of Medford she worked many years at the Medford City Hall in the City Clerk's office and the Registrar of Voter's office.
Roberta was the beloved wife of the late Frank W. Brown for over 60 years. She was a loving and devoted mother of Karen Cain of Concord, Frank Brown and his wife Rhonda of Peabody, and the late Steven Brown and his surviving wife Sharen of Medford. Roberta especially loved being a grandmother to Jack Cain of Concord, Alex and Jonathan Brown of Peabody, Sawyer and Sarah Brown of Medford, and Sam Brown and his wife Nicole of Pensacola, FL. She was the dear sister of Judy Previte, who she absolutely adored, and the late David and Frank Previte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Monday, February 4th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 1 - 4 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
