Richard A. Healey, 85, of Brentwood, NH, formerly of Hampstead, NH passed away peacefully, Sunday January 27, 2019 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. He was born September 29, 1933 in Chester, NH and was a son of the late Everett and Florence (Holland) Healey. Richard resided for many years in Hampstead, NH and in Hiram, ME prior to moving to Brentwood three years ago.
Richard was employed for over 20 years at Lumbertown in Londonderry, NH and as a yard foreman for many years at Chick Lumber in Conway, NH. He enjoyed building wagons and other woodworking projects.
Members of the family include his daughter and her husband, Julie & Ralph Rhea of Belmont, NH, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, as well as many, many nieces and nephews. Richard was one of twelve siblings. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eunice (Collins) Healey in 2012, his daughter Brenda Fitts in 2010 and his son David Healey in 2014.
After cremation, a visitation will be held on Saturday February 2, 2019 from 1 - 2:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service will follow at 2:30pm in the funeral home.
