Albert J. McNaney of Manchester, NH, passed away on January 24, 2019. He was born on May 26, 1945, in Reading, MA, the son of late Ruth and Albert McNaney. Albert graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1963, and then went on to proudly serve in the US Marines during the Vietnam war. In 1972 he began his career as a police officer serving the Derry Police Department for 26 years.
He was predeceased by his sister Karen Drake. He is survived by his sister Sandra McNaney, his brothers; Richard and Michael McNaney, his daughters; Brie-Ann Mensinger and Kelsey-Lyn Stone, his grandchildren; Kaylee Mensinger, Jacob Mensinger, and Athon Stone, his former wife Bonnie McNaney, his nieces; Lindsey Hampf and Mary-Anne Drake and his nephew Thomas McNaney.
The family greeted friends and shared memories on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Derry, NH from 5:00- 7:00 PM. A private burial will take place on February 1, 2019 at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetary in Boscawen, NH at 1:00 PM.
