Joseph Ientile, a Fifty Five year resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family. He was 80. Born and raised in Calabria, Italy. He was the son of the late Rose and Vincent Ientile. Joseph came to the United States at the age of 18, to seek work. He met the love of his life and they settled in Wilmington to raise their family.
Joseph was devoted and dedicated to his family, he worked long and hard as a bricklayer for Pizzotti Brothers Construction Co. to support his family and was a proud member of Local 3, bricklayers union. Joe enjoyed gardening, a green thumb came natural to him. He was always making sure his garden was at constant bloom and producing. He also enjoyed time with friends and family in West Palm Beach, Florida. Joe was a wonderful friend and neighbor to many and will sadly be missed.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Elaine (Sergi) Ientile, the devoted father to Rhonda Ientile, Linda Adams, Dean Ientile and his wife Maegan all of Tewksbury, Joseph Ientile and his wife Carla, Gary Ientile and his wife Denise both of Wilmington, Loving grandfather to Michael, Kenneth, Shawn and Ryan Adams, Nicholas, Adriana, Adam and Rachel Ientile. Loving great grandfather to Dustin Adams, and Peyton McLeish-Adams. Brother of Lena Patrizio, Maria Fulciniti, Gina Carabetta and Rita Gibson all of Woburn and Catherine Carella of Winchester.
His Funeral will be from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Friday, February 1, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave. Wilmington at 10 a.m. Service will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
