Obituary



Worcester - Eleanore L. Brady 80, Worcester, MA passed away peacefully on January 26, 2019 with her family by her side.
Ellie was born on November 6, 1938 in Worcester, MA. She is survived by her husband, Wayne of 57 years; her children, Nancy and her husband John, Pattie and her husband Danny, Scott and his wife Tina, Sue and her husband Eric, Kay and her husband Peter; her eight grandchildren: Andrea, Sarah, Anthony, Justin, Sam, Kyle, Gracie and Maxwell; her sister Joan Greene and many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brother, Richard Viens.
Ellie lived a wonderful life. Those who knew her loved her, loved her smile and her kindness.
Ellie worked at Publik Financial before she met her husband Wayne. They then raised their children in Worcester, while she stayed at home to raise their kids until later when she worked as a banquet waitress prior to working at WPI. Ellie was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed her time at Twin Rivers. After retirement, she became a snowbird, and shared quality time with her husband and good friends. Ellie spent years with her toes in the sand at Wallum Lake Camp house, drinking coffee and loving her family.
Ellie was the happiest when spending time with her friends and family, eating grilled cheese, watching Wheel of Fortune and Hallmark Movies. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, a loving mom, a fun-loving Meme, a good listening aunt and a caring sister.
A celebration of Ellie’s life will take place on Tuesday, January 29th from 5 to 8 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 30th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Ellie may be made to the American Diabetes Association 260 Cochituate Road #200 Framingham, MA 01701.
