Norma C. (Smith) Roderiques, 93, of New Bedford died January 24, 2019 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert Roderiques.
Born and raised in New York, NY, the daughter of the late William and Pearl (Smith) Smith, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. Roderiques was formerly employed as a X-ray technician at Union Hospital and at Frances P. Memorial Hospital for many years. During World War II, she helped her country by patching tents for the troops.
She was a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Survivors include her daughter, Lillian Clark and her husband Stanley Clark, Jr. of Rumford, RI; a sister-in-law, Josephine Smith of New York; a brother-in-law, Ray Thompson of Florida; a granddaughter, Uraina Clark of New York, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Elinor White, James Smith and Edwina Thompson.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 30th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 9 AM prior to her service. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
