Ricco J. Leana, age 96, of Brockton, died peacefully, January 22, 2019, following a period of failing health. Ricco was the loving husband for 67 years of Pauline (Burns) Leana. Born and raised in Carthage, NY, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Yanuzza) Leana. Ricco was a graduate of Carthage High School and attended George Peabody College. During WWII he worked in the Defense Industry at Hudson Motor in Detroit, MI. He had been a professional photographer and retired as Vice President of Rhea’s Bakeries in Pittsburgh. He was a former President of the Retail Bakers Association, and was active with the association until his retirement. He enjoyed writing poetry, and working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles
Ricco is survived by three daughters, Shawn Dumoulin, Cheryl Wareham and her husband John, and Carrie Leana; grandfather of Michele, Gregory, Kelly, Michael, John, Don, Joseph and Leanna; great grandfather of nine and great great grandfather of one. He was the brother of the late Rose, Helene, Pauline, Angelina, Josephine, Robert, Albert and Victor. He was the step-son of the late Mary (Geglia) Leana and half-brother of Joseph and James and the late Yola.
Private family services will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, Brockton, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
