Obituary

Worcester – Phillip McBride, 65, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, January 23rd in the UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an extended illness.
Mr. McBride was born in Louisville, Georgia son of George McBride Sr. and Susan (Heath) McBride. He is survived by his two sisters, Annie Dorothy Telfor of Worcester and Rosa Amegah of Worcester; his three brothers, Russell McBride of Worcester, James McBride of Worcester, MA and Ronnie McBride of Somerset, NJ and many nephews and nieces. Phillip is also predeceased by two brothers, George McBride Jr. and Larry McBride and a sister, Annie Price Dejarnette.
Mr. McBride was a member of Second Baptist Church in Worcester. Phillip was a man of great faith and could often be found reading passages from his Bible. He was an avid sports fan but especially loved his Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 10AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home before the service. Memorial Contributions in memory of Phillip may be made to the ARC of Opportunity 160 Boulder Drive Fitchburg, MA 01420.
