Dianne May (Comerford) Zygala - Mum/Meme born July 11, 1942
of South Boston, MA passed away at home on Monday January 14, 2019
surrounded by the love and care of her family and beloved pets. She is survived by her daughter Donna M. Zygala and her grandchildren Jeanni C. Carroll and Brad N. Zygala and her great-granddaughter Alexandria M. Bianchino. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is a long time survivor of cancer of 14 years. She always remained positive and lived life to the fullest by spending time with her family and friends, shopping, collecting recipes and cookbooks and cooking. For years she attended the Oldies concerts at the Hatch Shell with her family and friends faithfully. She was an avid animal lover as well.
She loved going to Carson Beach as she was born and raised in South Boston. She loved bringing her grandchildren to the movies and shopping. She also loved taking her great granddaughter to the park. She was a single mother who worked so hard over the years to raise her daughter, whom she loved with all of her heart and soul.
She was the first journey-woman in her field of the binary presses in the printing industry and started at Winthrop Printing in South Boston and moved onto working at Nimrod Press first in Boston, MA then in Westwood, MA and moved up in the company over 30+ years.
She was Southie born, bred, raised and passed away here just like she wanted to.
The services will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Casper's Funeral Home, South Boston, MA 02127
