Marjorie “Marnie” E. McLeod, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 92. She was the loving daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Seaman) McLeod.
Marjorie enjoyed her 42-year career as an executive secretary at Knapp Shoes in Brockton, where she made several lifelong friends. She was an avid photographer and was a member of the Brockton Camera Club for many years. Marjorie and her sister loved to travel, and together, visited more than 30 countries. The family always looked forward to her slide shows of their trips. Some of Marjorie’s fondest memories were of summers spent on Cape Cod. She cherished her many cats over the years and enjoyed donating to many animal charities. Marjorie’s zest for life, quick wit and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
Marjorie is survived by her nieces Elaine Allshouse of Holbrook, Gail McLeod of East Falmouth and Carol McLeod of East Falmouth. Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved sister Doris McLeod and brother Richard McLeod.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday January 25, 11am-12pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
