George DiFonzo, of Medford passed away on Monday, January 21'st. He was 93. Born and raised in Boston. He was the son of the late Biagio and Emma (Petrone) DiFonzo.
George loved his family they were his pride and joy. Family meant everything to George, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, frequent trips to Suffolk Downs, and vacationing in Florida during the winter.
George was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Zizza) DiFonzo. He was the devoted father of William R. DiFonzo, and Johnna A. Hardy and her husband Kevin, and the loving grandfather of Dustin, Caroline and Elizabeth Hardy. He was the dear brother of Elena Masciocchi, and the late Alfonzo, Ralph, Jeanie and Phyllis DiFonzo. George is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Friday, January 25th from 9 - 10:30 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford on Friday at 11AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
