Obituary

Louise M. (Kimball) LeBlanc, 88, a former resident of Salem, passed away peacefully at the Devereux House in Marblehead, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was the devoted wife of the late Omer J. LeBlanc with whom she had shared 64 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Sylvester E. and Mary P.P. (Congdon ) Kimball.
Louise was a graduate of Lynn Classical High and earned her Associates Degree from Boston College. She first worked in the Lynn Offices of General Electric as an administrative assistant. She left G.E. to devote her time to her young family. In later years she worked for the next 25 years, in the same capacity, for the Lynn Hospital until her retirement in 1995.
Louise believed that ‘family comes first’, but she also had other interests including a life member of the Franco American Club of Lynn, the Lynn Snow Chasers and she was active in the Democratic Party.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura M. Davis and her husband Lawrence of Danvers, Lisa D. Martin of Salem, two sons, Jeffrey O. LeBlanc and his wife Karen of Lynn, Lawrence D. LeBlanc and his wife Kelly of Sandown, NH. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Debra Gillooly, Alysha & Brittany LeBlanc, Michael & Kristopher Martin, Kristina Davis and Shane LeBlanc, four great-grandchildren, Joshua, John & Jacob Gillooly and Sophia Andino as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Debra LeBlanc, brothers, Erwin ‘Bud’ & Sylvester Kimball, Jr., her sisters, Laura McGoun, Gertrude McCarthy and Hazel Richardson.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A]Salem on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM to be followed by her Funeral Mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Jean Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours, at the funeral home, will be on Tuesday Jan. 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
