Josephine (Bollea) Ledoux, 93, of New Bedford died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Alden Court Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Marcel J. Ledoux, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Dartmouth, daughter of the late John and Rose (Bonsaver) Bollea, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1943.
Mrs. Ledoux was formerly employed as a secretary for the Aerovox Corporation, and later worked at Sears for 20 years.
She was a member of the Italian American Women's Club and was involved in many musicals, minstrel shows, and the U.S.O. during World War II.
Mrs. Ledoux loved to sing and dance and loved being with people, especially her three grandsons.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Thomas J. Ledoux and his wife Rosemary and Mark C. Ledoux, all of New Bedford; three grandsons, Thomas J. Ledoux, Jr. and his wife Courtney of Medford, Alex Ledoux of South Boston, and Roger Ledoux of Longmeadow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Lucy Economos, Anne Hargraves, Mary Higham, Stella Fournier, Victor, Joseph, Albert, and Henry Bollea.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
