MELITO, HELEN of Boston Entered into rest on Wednesday January 16 2019 at age 86 following a decline in health.
Helen was born on February 16 1932 in Boston Massachusetts daughter of the late Filomena (DeBonis) and Vincent J. Melito
She was predeceased by her brothers Domenic Melito of Norton MA, Peter Melito of Stoughton MA James “Chicky” Melito of Tewksbury MA and her youngest sister Beatrice (Melito) Hernandez of Orlando FL. She is survived by two sisters Mary (Melito) Smith of Eliot ME Jenny (Melito) DeShazo of Attleboro MA and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street Norton Wednesday Jan 23 at 11A.M. Interment services will be private. Helen worked many years for Coward Shoe of Boston and retired from Department of Revenue Boston MA
She had a great love of the arts, history and classical music. She would get to a play anytime she could , she loved the theater!
Helen was also an avid animal lover. Surely her two beloved fur babies Bijou and Jay are awaiting her in heaven.
She will always be remembered as Miss Boston she truly loved her city and enjoyed all it had to offer.
