John A. Maggiacomo, 63 of Winthrop died Saturday after a long illness in the Youville Hospital Cambridge, MA.
Born in Cambridge, he lived many years in Somerville before moving to Winthrop 2 years ago. He was the son of the late Rose (Cassisi) and Crescenzo Maggiacomo. John was a Court Officer, employed by Middlesex County Court for 15 years and retired in 2002. He also was the former owner of Mr. John’s Beauty Salon in Waltham for many years. John was a member of the Madonna del Soccorso Society of Boston.
Beloved husband of Joanne (Spinazola) Maggiacomo. Devoted father of Chris Maggiacomo of Medford, and John Maggiacomo of Reading. Loving grandfather of Julia and Nicholas Maggiacomo. Brother of Maryanne Orlandi of Hull.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett.
