Robert A. Kramer, Jr., 71, of Hyannis died January 12, 2019 at Tobey Hospital, following a long illness.
He was the loving husband of Elaina A. (Alexander) Kramer.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Robert A. and Marguerite A. (Tetreault) Kramer, he lived in Cape Cod most of his adult life. He graduated from Holy Family High School and attended Gannon College in Erie, PA, and American International College in Springfield, MA.
Mr. Kramer worked as a meat cutter and manager at many grocery stores on Cape Cod, and he was liked and respected by his co-workers.
He had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed traveling. He also had a lifelong love of cats.
Survivors include his wife; his son, Christopher Kramer of Hyannis; 4 brothers, Michael Kramer and his wife Susan and Paul Kramer and his companion Elizabeth Rego, all of Dartmouth, Steven Kramer and his wife Jeri of Phoenix, AZ, and James Kramer and his wife Terry of Uxbridge; 2 sisters, Carol Kramer and her husband Charles Walker of Pleasant Hill, OR, and Marguerite McQuarrie and her husband Charles of Peoria, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Kenneth Kramer.
His Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 30th at 12 Noon in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. His family will receive guests from 10 AM - 12 Noon prior to his service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to MSPCA Cape Cod 1577 Falmouth Rd., Centerville, MA 02632.
