Funeral services for Patricia Ann (Patsy) Reinhardt McCorvey, 84, of Ashburn, Ga. will be held, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Ashburn. Mrs. McCorvey passed away Wednesday after an extended illness at Tift Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Interment will be private at Rose Hill Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Floyd Hughes and Bessie Irene Bailey Reinhardt, she was born in Turner County on September 29, l934. She was an avid gardener, card player, enjoyed cooking and socializing with her friends. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Patsy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. She was the Director of the Turner County Civic Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Maredy Daniel (Danny) McCorvey and brother Andrew Guy Reinhardt.
Survivors include her children, Maredy Daniel (Dan) McCorvey, Jr. of Ashburn, Warren Hughes (Lori) McCorvey , Sr. of Perry, and Charles V. (Vic) (Marilyn) McCorvey of Clewiston, Florida, and sister in law, Charnelle Reinhardt of Ashburn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Patricia McCorvey (Jay)Dailey of Fitzgerald, Willis Taylor (Kimberly) McCorvey of Graniteville, S. C., Warren Hughes McCorvey, Jr. of Fitzgerald, Maranda Danette (Andrew) Berner and Meredith Irene (Joe) Kane, great-grandchildren, Bailey Berner, Easton Berner, Dottie Kane, Bobbi Kane, Kate McCorvey and Michael McCorvey. She also had many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the social hall of the First Baptist Church, Ashburn, Ga.
The family will be at 1434 North Street in Ashburn, Ga.
