Joseph S. Russo, 41, of Andover, MA passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2019. Joe was a graduate of Andover High School and was a talented, self-employed general contractor. There was nothing Joe could not fix. He never refused to help his family or many friends when they needed his services. A “Jack-of-all-Trades”, Joe designed and built many beautiful and innovative kitchens, baths, and game rooms. He also designed and built the first condominium building in Hampton Beach.
Joe’s biggest pleasure was being with his son Joey and cheering him on during his games. Whether on a baseball field or a hockey rink, Joe taught his son the fundamentals of each sport and the meaning of being a team player. He enjoyed travelling to Joey’s many games and tournaments all over New England. His son was the light of his life.
Joe will be sadly missed by his wife, Robyn H. Russo and their son, Joseph H. Russo, his mother, Teresa A. Russo of Salisbury, MA, his father, Dr. Joseph P. Russo and wife, Cynthia J. Aziz Russo of Andover, MA, sister Amy Russo, brother Mark Russo, both of Salisbury, MA and step-brother, Jeffrey Pepe and fiancée Christina Leighton, and step-sister Jordyn Curcio and husband Frank Curcio, all of North Andover, MA. Joseph also leaves behind his grandmother, Mary B. Zagarella, a nephew, two nieces, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cherished friends.
Private Services were held in his honor by Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover, MA. Donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Circle of Hope, C/O Phil Lahey, 9 Cochran's Street, Methuen, MA 01844. For additional information, please visit, www.burkemagliozzi.com.
