William Lavern "Bill" Geske 60, of Ventura, California, passed away on January 13th, 2019 at home in his wife's loving arms after a courageous 10 year fight with kidney cancer. Bill was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to Lando and Katherine Geske on January 9th 1959. Bill loved his family and was the epitome of a provider, doing so by creating a successful business, Geske's Hauling Service, Inc. His family will proudly continue the business in his honor just as he would have wanted.
Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Geske. He is survived by his son Chad (Natalie), daughter Mallory (Ernie), granddaughter Ellie, grandson due in April, brothers, Loren, Terry, Jerry, Kurt, Rick, sisters, Joyce and Brenda, and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lando and Katherine Geske and brother, Alan Geske. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to City of Hope, Attn: Minhaal M. Nathani 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010 for Dr. Pal's kidney cancer research in memory of Bill Geske. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to City of Hope and Dr. Pal for giving them the extra years they were able to spend with Bill. He was able to meet many milestones and goals, which he set for himself and enjoy special family memories.
The celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Rd, Ventura, on Saturday January 26th 2019 at 12pm. Please wear casual attire. Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
