Obituary

WORCESTER___Raymond A. Marble, 73, of Worcester died on Tuesday January 8, 2019 in his home. His wife Sharon C. (Roach) Marble died on May 23, 2018.

He leaves a son, Michael T. Roach and his wife Kimberly Roach of Putnam, Ct., a daughter, Sharon A. Giaquinto and her husband Anthony P. Giaquinto of Ohio; his grandchildren, Arty, Kelly, Eric, Michael, Chad, Nicholas and Autumn, great-grandchildren, Maya, Owen and Kailani, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diana Bostock, Mary Allen, Virginia Roach, John Roach and William Roach and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ruth Rodriguez and three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Chester Jr. He was born in Millbury a son of the late Chester A. and Helen F. (Tower) Marble and has lived here for most of his life. Raymond was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Corporal.

Mr. Marble worked in the Traffic Department for the City of Worcester many years before he retired. He enjoyed the outdoors and also liked to play cribbage and rummy. Raymond was a devoted husband and everything he did was about caring for his family especially his wife.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2019 with a service at 11:30 AM in DIRSA - MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. A calling hour will be held Tuesday January 15, 2019 from 10:30 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home. Burial with committal prayers will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
