Worcester: Dorothy L. (Hine) Frink, 97, passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She leaves a son Mark Frink, with whom she lived; a daughter Linda Rosenlund of Holden; 3 grandchildren- Adam, Sarah, and Emily; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 45 years, Ellery C. Frink , by a son Gordon C. Frink and by a sister Luvina Hine.
Dorothy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Sidney and Emma (Sommer) Hine. She graduated from Commerce High School and earned her Nursing Degree from Boston City Hospital. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Registered Nurse. After the war, she worked as a nurse in various local hospitals. She was a member of the VFW. She enjoyed spending time with family and her dog Molly, camping in Oakham, trips to Hampton Beach, Sunday drives, and watching her favorite soap operas.
A calling time will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10-10:30 a.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
