Steven David Strachan Jr. (33) of Boston entered eternal rest on January 3, 2019. He was welcomed into Heaven by his brother Edward Engleman Jr,, and grandparents William (Bill) Strachan, James and Helen Lutman.
Steven was born in Hamilton, Bermuda on January 15, 1985. He got to grow up "everywhere" because his Dad was in the United States Navy. Steve got to live internationally (Bermuda and Italy), and various parts of the United States. Then the family ultimately moved back to Boston when his Dad retired.In more recent years, he had been residing in the South Shore area as well.
Steven loved spending time with all of his family. He loved his children with all of his heart. Steven especially enjoyed working on cars and doing Demo Derbys. He was always willing to help others and loved to make people laugh - cracking jokes constantly.
Steven also enjoyed his trips to New York to visit his sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. As he called it, "getting away from it all." He loved going fishing in the Hudson River with nieces and nephews. He loved his Boston teams - especially those PATRIOTS!!!!
Steven was the son of Steven D Strachan Sr and Martha (Marty) Strachan of Boston. He leaves behind four children Steven Strachan III of East Bridgewater, and Skylar, Zoe, Connor Strachan of Taunton. He will forever be the baby brother to Amy Auchmoedy (Gary) of Saugerties, NY and Stephanie Strachan of Brockton. His paternal grandmother Cecelia (Gram) Strachan.
Steve was an awesome uncle to Brittany, Brianna, Shaylee, Gary, Joel Jr, Khloe, Cheryl, Matthew, Jayden, and Samantha. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 (3-7pm) at Casper's Funeral Home 187 Dorchester St, South Boston, MA 02127.
On Sunday, January 13 at 1pm, the family will be having a Pot Luck gathering at the Fogg Roberts American Legion in Hyde Park located at 56 Harvard Avenue. All are welcome to come remember Steve Jr to share memories and stories.
