Obituary

Helen V. (Gay) Wilcox, 90 of Medway died peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Fernley R. Wilcox who died in 1975.

Born in Medway on March 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Hilda V. (Rosell) Gay.

Mrs. Wilcox was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1946.

A lifelong homemaker to her family, Mrs. Wilcox also worked at the former Simtram in Medway for many years until her retirement.

Mrs. Wilcox was a member of the Medway Community Church where she was a former deacon, church clerk and was well known for her baked beans at the Harvest Fair.

She is survived by children, Victoria Wilbur of North Berwick, Maine, Gale Wilcox of Medway, Robert Wilcox of Medway and Pamela Wright and her husband Donald of Bellingham.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lynn Cross, Christopher Wilcox and Hannah Wright, two great-grandchildren, PJ and Andy, two brothers, Buddy Gay of Medway and Danny Gay of Bath, Maine, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wilcox was predeceased by her brothers Willis Gay and Earl, Walter, Cliff, Raymond and Andrew Wilber.

Her funeral services will take place privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway in the spring.
