SHREWSBURY: Thuy Thoi Ly, 82, of Shrewsbury passed away on January, 8, 2019 after a brief illness.
He was born in Vietnam, the son of the (late) Ut Ly and Thinh Phan. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering and was a successful architect for many years. After immigrating to the United States with his family in 1979, Thuy studied computer science and worked as a computer programmer until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, swimming, philosophy, watching James Bond movies and, most of all, spending time with his family and dog, Pippin.
Thuy is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Hoang Tran, his daughter, Thuytien Ly, and her husband, Charles Dodai, of Framingham, hís daughter, Dieu Thuy Ly, and her husband, Nha Huu Vo, of Southborough, hís daughter, Thuy-Chi Ly, of Southborough and loving members of his extended family.
Services will be private.
