Obituary

Leonora J. “Nora” Siciliano died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 90. Born and raised in the “patch” neighborhood of Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Massimo and Maria (Valeri) Antoncecchi. A resident of Somerville for all of her life until recently moving to Stoneham, Nora graduated from Somerville High School and worked for the City of Somerville Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. She is fondly remembered for her many years at the Winter Hill Community School. She was active in the PTA and served as president. She was also active in the Somerville Firefighters Women’s Auxiliary. The life of the party and a wonderful cook, she was loved by all. Devoted to her family and friends, she enjoyed local travel and gathering her family at home for meals and company. With her warm and welcoming smile she was known as “Nana Nora” to all.

The beloved wife of Charles P. Siciliano, she was a devoted mother to Karen McLaughlin and her husband David of Melrose, Buster Siciliano and his wife Cheryl of Billerica, Carol Bailey and her husband Jack of Stoneham. She was a loving nana to Sheena and her husband Bobby, Dave and his wife Shannon, Tori and Bobby. She was a loving great-nana to Layla, Emma, Harper and Harry. She is predeceased by her brother Leo Antoncecchi and sister Eva Ingala.

Nora, “as a lover of bling, glitter and shine”, wanted everyone to know that “mourning attire is optional”.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday January 12 at 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 AM.
