Rose Marie Roy, 58, of Berlin, NH passed away at home on January 8, 2019. She was born in Berlin, the daughter of Normand W. Roy and the late Fernande M. Roy. She was a lifelong resident of Berlin, and graduated from Berlin High School in 1979. She had been employed by Rudy’s Market, and had also worked at Rich’s, Vashaw’s Variety, and Munce’s Quick Stop. She loved cats and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing cards with her father. She was a wonderful caretaker for her parents. She was a very caring person and always had a smile for everyone.
Rose is survived by her father Normand W. Roy; her siblings Louise Lacasse of Berlin, Jeanne Nadeau and her husband Raymond of Milan, Denise Fortin and her husband Benoit of Gorham, Normand R. Roy and his wife Ginette of Berlin, and Paul Roy and his wife Crystal of Goodyear, AZ. She is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rose was predeceased by her mother Fernande M. Roy.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10 AM at Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, followed by burial in St. Anne Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s memory to the Humane Society.
