Murle Eugene Dossett, 79, of Anderson died peacefully with family at his bedside on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
He was born in McPherson, Kansas on May 13, 1939 to William and Ruth (Hunt) Dossett. Murle worked on his parent's farm before going to college to earn a bachelor of Theology degree. He moved to Anderson to attend seminary and pastored a church in Kirkland for two years. He then decided his path was to follow his natural abilities as a mechanic. He worked at Weidner Chevrolet for a few years, and then opened his own small business, Dossett's Garage, Inc., which he actively operated for nearly fifty years until his death.
Murle enjoyed writing computer programs (self-taught) and flying his private plane (not self taught). He and Kelly enjoyed many adventures in their plane. He attended Madison Park Church of God and his faith influenced those around him.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn "Kelly" Dossett; sons, Greg (Julie) Dossett and Gary Dossett; step-children, Todd (Robin) Hultman, and Kirsten (Tony) Mullins; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dossett, Amy Dossett, Angela Dossett, Holly Dossett, April Dossett, Telisha (Tyler) Nelson, Holly Erner, Teliecia (Steven) Dickey, Nathanial Hultman, Kiley Hultman, Jaylen Hultman, Michael Mullins, Samantha Poynter, Adam Mullins; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Nelson, Shelby Nelson, Emily Dickey; brothers, Anson (Eleanor) Dossett, Johnny (Elsie) Dossett, David (Margie) Dossett; sister, Wanita Grunkemeyer; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
Service will be held at Madison Park Church of God on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Strozier officiating, with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery.
