Norma Jean (Tumilty) Jones, 85, of Anderson died January 6, 2019 at Community Northview Nursing Home. after an extended illness.
She was born April 13, 1933 in Mays, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Lena (Huegel) Tumilty.
She worked as a cook/chef for General Motors food service 35 years before retiring in 2001.
Norma attended the Methodist Church and loved fishing, playing Euchre, NASCAR, Colts, cooking, baking and she was president of Local 1117.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Karen Mandrell and her son, Mark Jones; three siblings, Patricia Sipes, Jerry Tumilty and Vicky Herrman; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Tasha Harrington, Alicia Jones, Obie Poole, Chaz Poole, Zach Jones, Johnathon Jones, Shelby Jones, Andrew Jones, Haley Jones and India Abbott; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Rick Jones and Mike Jones, granddaughter, Madison Jones and four siblings.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dimitri McFadden officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
