Jean (Hanson) Benton, 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 5, 2019 at Christopher House Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester Mass where she was being treated for complications brought about by a long battle with Parkinson disease.
In addition to her loving husband of 52 years, Tim Benton of Grafton Mass, (formerly of Taunton Mass), she leaves a daughter, Angela Litavis, three grandchildren, Andrew, Brendan and Emma Litavis of Hopkinton Mass, a sister, Judy Marquardt and her husband Robert, nieces Kaylee and Rachel and nephew Joshua Marquardt of Kansas City Missouri.
Jean was born and raised in Marysville, Kansas by parents Roy and Jeanette Hanson (deceased). She lived in Marysville until she married and moved to Massachusetts with her husband Tim.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Jean enjoyed acting, going to the theatre and traveling. She will be sorely missed!

All are welcome to attend the Funeral mass with Jean's family and friends on Saturday, Jan. 12, 11:00 am at Saint Andrew the Apostle church, 19 Kilmer Ave, Taunton Mass 02780. A family memorial gathering with lunch will follow immediately after the service in the church basement.
