Sally J. Hansford (Kreuz) passed away after a long battle with cancer at her Medford home surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was 61. Raised in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Jean (Rooney) Kreuz. At Arlington High School she was an exceptional athlete, playing three varsity sports and leading the softball, basketball and field hockey teams and Captain. She loved and followed sports throughout her life. She was an avid golfer and devoted Patriots fan. She enjoyed watching lacrosse, traveled with and supported her husband of nearly 25 years throughout his training and running of marathons, and with Bob was there to follow and travel to her nephew’s games during his years in the Coast Guard Academy. She and Bob enjoyed traveling and hiking, spending time visiting the Caribbean Islands and attending concerts and musicals with her sisters and friends. Her career with Carlisle Chemical Co. allowed her to show many talents. While originally intending to be an office manager, she developed the skills for sales and oversaw water testing and polymer use. She also developed a knack for handling accounts receivable for the company. Her battle with multiple cancers since 2012 showed her strength and commitment to battling the horrible disease but also her love and desire to be with family and friends. Throughout her struggle she remained the committed and fun loving person who is now missed by all who knew her.
