Philip J. Britt, 91, of Worcester passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Alice (Bissonnette) Britt; his three daughters Maureen, wife of Richard Connors and Cheryl, wife of Richard LaPan, and Jacqueline. He was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert, Eugene and his sister, Adele.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John and Corinne (Clark) Britt. Philip attended St. Peter’s High School. After graduating he worked for Hood’s milk as a supervisor and pasteurization's specialist, additionally he served as a part time maintenance person at Sacred Heart Church in Worcester. After retiring from Hood’s, Philip worked for Chevalier Furniture, and Anglo Fabric.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Auburn Life Care for the care and support of Philip.
Calling hours are Monday, January 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
