Paul David Simoncini, 78, husband of Cassandra (Holby) Simoncini, passed away peacefully at Fairview on December 29, 2018 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease.
Paul was born in New London, CT to the late Peter and Margaret Simoncini. He lived in Mystic his entire life.
Paul retired from Pfizer after 30 years of service. He was an avid gardener and jack of all trades. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in the Florida Keys.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Paul L. (Tina) and his grandson, Paul F. He also leaves his brother, Peter (Barbara) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, January 16, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 17, at 10:00am at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton. Burial will immediately follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, River Road, Old Mystic.
In lieu of flowers a donation in his name may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation of Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown MD 21741-5014.
