PORTER- Ramon Earl Day Sr., age 82, of Porter, passed away on Dec. 29, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born Porter on Aug. 3, 1936, a son of the late George and Arlene (Cutting) Day and graduated from Porter High School.
Through out his life, Ramon was a hard-working woodsman and logger.
He will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had farming, raising cattle, pulling oxen at the fairs, hunting and fishing, and being with family.
Ramon is predeceased by a son- Duane Day in 2017; and all his siblings- Merton Day, Marilyn
Douglas, Donald Day, and Myrna Harmon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years- Donna (Welch) Day; children- Ramon Day Jr. and his wife Donna of Brownfield, Brenda Locklin and her husband Lionel of So. Hiram, Darryl Day and his wife Cheryl of York, Robin Day and his girlfriend Helen of Belgrade, and Brian Day of Porter;
daughter in law- Dora Day of Porter; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Burial will be private amongst Ramon’s family in Porter.
