WORCESTER___Carla Joan Schenker, 59, of Worcester died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St. She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Ed Salvidio; daughters Amanda Angers, Michaela Angers, step-daughter, Sharon Salvidio, grandchildren, Naleigha, Effie, Alajia and Nyomie, sisters, Beverly Picard and Ruth Powers, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters, Paula Hochard, Judy Hall and Murial Roche. She was born a daughter of the late Henry and Effie (Palmer) Schenker.
Carla worked as a waitress for many years at the Ground Round Restaurant in Shrewsbury. Her daughters and family were the center of her life and doting on her grandchildren was a priority. Besides an occasional trip to the casino, she enjoyed the many bike rides with her husband and friends.
Calling hours will be in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm concluding with a Celebration of her life. Family and friends will gather at 10 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the funeral home to process to Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster St., Worcester for the committal service.
