SOMERSET- Dario F. Matos, age 47, passed away peacefully at St. Anne’s hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Sao Miguel, Acores he was the son of Antonio M. and Doridana (Ferreira) Matos, and husband of Sharon M. (Garvin) Matos. Dario was a very talented man, a mechanic by nature and an artist. He worked at R.I. Nurseries for 20 years, John Deer in Portsmouth for 5 years and most recently R.S Equipment in Somerset. He loved fishing, hunting, spending time in the outdoors and being near the water. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends and was loved by many.
He is survived by his children: Autumn, Ruby, Hailey, Hunter, Jacob, and Andrew Matos, brothers: Arthur Matos, and Tony Matos (wife Sally), grandchildren: Azora and Aible, nephew: Elijah Matos, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 10 A.M. Interment is private. Calling hours on Friday from 5-8 P.M. Please omit flowers.
