Patricia Kathleen (Newcombe) Broderick, 89, of Medway, died December 28 in the Blaire Home in Milford following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James W. Broderick and her former spouse, the late James J. Galvin.
Born in Portland, Maine, June 16,1929, the daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude (Godin) Newcombe, Mrs. Broderick had lived in Hyde Park and Camden, Maine for many years before moving to the Franklin, Medway area.
A talented seamstress she had owned her own bridal shop.
Patricia enjoyed attending the events of her grandchildren, traveling, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid Boston sports fan.
She is survived by her children, James Galvin and his wife Stacey of Franklin, Michael Galvin and his wife Jennifer of Holliston, Julie Colantoni and her husband John of Medway and Maureen Galvin of Sandwich.
She is also survived by her step children, Dennis Broderick and his wife Debbie of Medway, David Broderick and his partner, Allie Hayes of Boxford and Daniel Broderick and his wife Karen of New Hampshire.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, James, Elizabeth and Matthew Galvin, Jessica and Michael Galvin, John and Nicholas Colantoni, Kerry and Sean Broderick and Marki Williams.
Her funeral will be held on Friday , January 4 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:15AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, Medway, at 10:00AM.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
