Frederick A. George, Jr., age 51 of Norton, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Taunton Nursing Home in Taunton.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 18, 1967, he was a loving son of Frederick A. George, Sr. and the late Gail S. (Butler) George.
Fred grew up in Mansfield and North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. He had made his home in Norton for the past three years and previously lived in North Attleboro for many years.
For several years, Fred had been employed as a tow truck driver at George’s Service Station in Brockton. He was a member of the Foxboro Jaycees and served as a referee and coached youth sports in Foxboro. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and the Bostin Celtics.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his devoted sons: Jeremy Ball of East Providence, Brendan George of Foxboro and Nathan George of Foxboro. He was the dear brother of Thomas George and his wife Lori of Norton, Christopher George and his wife Julie of North Attleboro, Derek George and his wife Katie of North Attleboro and Tyler George of North Attleboro. He was the cherished grandson of Mary Butler of Westford. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Sunday, January 13th from 12:00-5:00 P.M. at the North Attleboro Elks, 52 Bulfinch St., North Attleboro. Burial will be held privately at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
