Rita M. (Mostone) Capozzo of Medford died on Thursday, December 27 at Care One of Wilmington. A Lifelong Medford resident, she was the daughter of the late Liberato "Alberto" and Catherine (DeCesare) Mostone. Rita worked for many years in the insurance industry, retiring as a manager from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
Rita was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Capozzo, and the devoted mother of Janice DiPerri and her husband Richard Sr. of Wilmington, Elaine Morris and her husband William of Everett, and Arthur Capozzo and his wife Karen of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Richard DiPerri Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Dracut, Jeff DiPerri and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington, Lisa Smith and her husband Steven of Dracut, Stephanie Morris and her loving companion Robert Reaney of Everett, Stacey McDonald and her husband Robert of Salem, Stephen Pfeil and his loving companion Kate Smith of Dedham, Natalie Pfeil of Brookline, and Micaela Capozzo of Medford. Rita was the loving great grandmother of seven. She was the sister of Barbara Haley of Everett and her late husband Francis, Robert Mostone and his wife Regine of Dracut, and the late Dr. Christie Mostone and his surviving wife Helen of Medford. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, January 2 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home from 9 AM through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
